Custom Applications & Automation
Software built around the way you work
When off-the-shelf software cannot quite do the job, PCS can build a practical solution around your real workflow. From Android field tools and business dashboards to Python automation, PHP systems, WordPress development, and connected-device integrations, we turn useful ideas into working applications.

What we build
The right tool for the actual problem
You do not need to arrive with a technical specification. Show us what is slow, repetitive, disconnected, or missing, and we will help determine the most sensible way to solve it.

Recent work
Built to solve real problems
These projects began with a practical need—not a generic feature list. Select any screenshot to inspect the full-size detail.
Business workflow application
PCS Business Hub
A purpose-built repair-shop platform connecting customer intake, repair tickets, device access, intake photos, labels, loaner agreements, checkout, Square payments, receipts, and RepairDesk data in one consistent workflow.
Private systems integration
Private Smart Home Command Center
A privacy-focused local dashboard that brings environmental readings, doors, occupancy, lighting, network health, utilities, and household services into one clear interface—without depending on a public cloud dashboard.
One camera view, multiple ecosystems
The same private system combines Google Nest and Ubiquiti UniFi Protect cameras in a unified experience. This required custom authentication, device discovery, stream handling, and a consistent interface across two very different platforms.
Android field application
Rackspur Signal Survey
A custom Android tool for walking a site, recording Wi-Fi observations, tracking movement and survey points, organizing readings by room, and creating an estimated field map. It turns a phone into a purpose-built wireless survey instrument.
Intelligent infrastructure
Proactive Server Monitoring & Incident Response
A self-hosted monitoring and incident-response system watches seven servers and services, measures live performance, groups meaningful alerts, and sends structured incident analysis directly to a phone. Prometheus and Alertmanager detect the condition; a restricted Sentinel agent evaluates the evidence, distinguishes demonstrations from genuine outages, recommends the next action, and reports recovery—without exposing administrative control to incoming alert data.
Operating system development
PCS Linux — a familiar future for the PC you already own
PCS Linux is a new Linux-based desktop being designed for everyday computer users—not Linux experts. The goal is a quieter, safer, easier-to-manage system that can give useful computers more life, backed by the updates, recovery, backup guidance, and local support people expect from PCS.
Help shape PCS Linux before release
We are looking for home users and small-business users willing to try early builds, report what feels confusing or unfinished, and help us make PCS Linux practical for real people. Linux experience is not required—honest feedback from everyday computer users is especially valuable.

Web development
The PCS website
This website is another working example: custom WordPress design, responsive layouts, service pages, appointment and support pathways, staging, migration, search visibility, and ongoing improvement.
A straightforward path from problem to working solution
1. Show us the problem
Explain what is taking too long, what does not connect, or what you wish your current tools could do.
2. Map the workflow
We identify the people, devices, data, and systems involved and recommend a practical approach.
3. Build and test
We create the solution in manageable stages and test it against the way you actually work.
4. Deploy and support
We put it into service, document what matters, and remain available as your needs change.
Tell us what you want to make better
You do not need technical language or a finished plan. A few practical details will help Matt understand the problem and make the first conversation more useful.
